There are three predominant cultures which have shaped the heritage of this area; the Native Peoples, German and Mexican. The goal of SCCA is to preserve the stories and artifacts of each culture as it relates to the cemetery.

Interpretive panels, placed throughout the cemetery, serve to inform the public on the origins of the cemetery. You’re invited to take a stroll through the park for a learning experience.

Visit this website and our Facebook page for information on future on-site programs which typically occur in the spring and fall.

The mission of SCCA is three-fold:
Preservation, Restoration and Education

Restoration of the burial ground is a continuous process with the creation of new flower beds, gardens and walkways.

Donations from individuals and businesses are extremely important in our restoration efforts. We have also brought back the concept of the cradle grave. Come see and appreciate!
